conversations with myself and my Friend

Psalm 116:7 – Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

Emblems of rest. What triggers a sense of REST in your mind in the first moments it comes before your eyes?

What robs you of rest?

What distracts you from the habit of rest?

Does my calendar reflect acknowledgment of my limits? My need of resting in His care?

What number would best reflect the pace of my life if I use a scale of 1 to 10 – “1” being frantic activity and “10” being radical rest?

What elements of my life draw me to rest?

What signals to I place around me to remind me to pause and acknowledge my limits.

“Convict me, Lord, when I replace rest with restlessness.”
