Remember, Request, Rejoice, Release Proverbs 21

Remember:  who God is… and, who I am

Psalm 136

I pause, ponder, remember that His love endures forever, He is good,  He does great wonders, He is Creator, He is Rescuer,He “remembered my low estate,” He provides.

I remember how desperately I need His love, His goodness, His righteousness, His power, His intervention, His salvation and  transformation, and His provision.

His love endures forever.

Request

I respond to the truth of who You are by asking You, Lord, for things beyond the usual surface requests.  Please, Lord, give me a heart that acknowledges You as the reigning Sovereign over my life and my world. Remove my resistance to Your plans and Your pace.

Search me, O God, know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thought. See if there is any offensive way in me. And lead me – lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139

Rejoice

Praise to the Lord for He has heard my cry for help. The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in Him and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song. Psalm 28:6-7

I’m going to stop a minute, Lord, and remember the times you have heard my cry for help, the times You have been my strength and the times You have shielded me.

This summer, You …       Last spring, You …      I remember at the first of the year, You …

I sing this song of thanks to You …

Release

The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He will. Proverbs 21:1

…the Lord had filled them with joy by changing the attitude of the king. Ezra 6:22

No heart is beyond the reach of the Lord’s hand.

And that is a known fact.

There are specific things that are not a reflection of Heaven and I know that these things have Your attention. The Word reveals that these things are not in harmony with who You are. So, I’m coming to talk with You about them so that they will not burden me or trouble me. Bring me to a place of releasing, a place of trust.
